StaticWorx free-floating floors for PSAPs and other critical spaces.

Can be installed one-to-one over Tate and Haworth access flooring panels.

Our glue-free floating floors for PSAPs are easy to install over almost any surface, including old floors, without disrupting communications. With StaticWorx floating floors, there’s no need to vacate space or move staff, equipment or furniture. Simply position our FX carpet over StaticWorx GroundbridgeTM then join the corners with TacTiles. For conductive glue-free (GF) rubber, peel the paper from the back of the tile and lay the tiles as in any other installation. Our glue-free floating floors can also be installed one-to-one over Tate and Haworth access flooring panels. All StaticWorx floors meet the most stringent ESD standards. We keep you grounded.

How to Evaluate ESD Flooring Performance Beyond Resistance Testing

In Part One, we explored why resistance testing alone does not fully predict ESD flooring performance. Materials that test within the same resistance range can behave very differently once installed in operational environments. So if resistance is only part of the picture, what should architects, engineers, and facility teams evaluate instead? The answer is not

Why an ESD Floor Can Meet the Spec — Yet Fail in the Space

When architects, engineers, and facility teams evaluate ESD flooring, products are often grouped into broad categories like conductive or dissipative. If a material falls within the specified resistance range, the assumption is simple: the requirement has been met. But in real-world environments, ESD performance is more complicated than a resistance value alone. Resistance testing measures

Ammunitions and Explosives

The handling and manufacture of ammunition and explosives requires different static protection procedures than those for handling electronic devices. The Department of Defense (DoD) manual 4145.26-M, The Contractor’s Safety Manual for Ammunition and Explosives, deals with this kind of work. This document was modified on March 13, 2008, and a change incorporated on August 31,

Exploring ESD Flooring Options for Electronics Manufacturing & Handling Applications

For electronics manufacturing and handling facilities, ESD standard S20.20 requires the use of ESD-protective footwear. Acceptable ESD footwear includes conductive heel straps, toe straps, sole straps and ESD shoes. The conductive elements in ESD-protective footwear bond with the conductive elements in the floor, creating a reliable ground connection and protecting the wearer against potential shocks

Flooring for Electronics Manufacturing & Handling Applications

Electronics industry flooring applications—including electronics manufacturing facilities, microelectronics fabrication, circuit board assembly, box build, electronics test and repair, cleanrooms, labs and R&D facilities—have more stringent static-control requirements than do most other applications. Electronic equipment with highly sensitive microcircuits is particularly susceptible to damage caused by the sudden spike in electrical current that results from random
