We were called by an owner to look at a vacant building in Hudson, NH. The building was in the rental process and the new occupants needed an ESD floor.
The floor in the building was 30 years old, filthy, abused and in terrible condition. The owner assumed the 3′ x 3′ tiles were conventional flooring. He wasn’t sure who the manufacturer was or where the floor had come came from. He called StaticWorx to try to determine whether or not anything could be done to restore the floor enough for use by the new tenant.
Dave visited the building with Bob Glover, a commercial flooring installer. Based on the pattern and colors of the tiles Dave was able to determine the flooring material to be AmeriWorx vinyl tiles.
Dave believed a combination of cleaning and coating could restore the old floor. Bob returned to the site to clean a test patch and test the floor’s electrical resistance.
