Grounding and Conductivity
Installed over bare metal access panels, ShadowFX dissipative tiles are grounded upon contact with the metal surface.
To install over non-conductive surfaces, we recommend using our GroundBridge conductive underlayment. As with metal access panels, once the tiles are set your installation is complete.

If you don’t use conductive adhesive, how is the floor grounded?
Bare steel access flooring panels are grounded through the structure of the raised floor installation. The bottom of StaticWorx ESD carpet tiles is 100% static dissipative. Static-dissipative carpet becomes grounded whenever it contacts metal surfaces that are grounded.
Like metal access panels, the GroundBridge underlayment creates a conductive ground plane beneath the tiles. The dissipative backing forges an electrical connection with the conductive underlayment, grounding the tiles as soon as they are set.

Storage Conditions
TacTiles connectors are generally resistant to both moisture and temperature. TacTiles connectors that become wet should be allowed to air-dry before being used.
