The Problem with ESD Wax
ESD waxes are not conductive. They are static dissipative and provide only temporary ESD properties. Over time, their static dissipative properties wear off. Without a stringent process to ensure regular resistance testing, it’s impossible to know if the floor is working to protect your equipment. ESD wax can also degrade due to low humidity ambient conditions and heavy traffic. Using ESD wax means a lifelong relationship with the never-ending cycle of wax, test, fail test, strip and rewax.

Since the 1980s StaticWorx has sold millions of square feet of ESD tile. We’ve seen 40 year-old tile that looks like glass. And newer tile that looks abysmal and does little or nothing to protect electronics from static.
